"Alpine Sunrise" (Victoria) - One of the best views in Australia is this one from Mt Hotham looking across to Mt Feathertop in Alpine National Park.  It was amazing watching the sun rise over this wonderful scene!

“A Song of Ice and Fire” (New Zealand South Island, Mt Cook Region) - Hooker Lake is a glacier fed lake in Mt Cook National Park.  The icebergs are created following a carving event off the main glacier.  These icebergs then float down the lake and eventually melt or flow over the outlet stream.  The scene is therefore quite dynamic and the beauty of this is that no 2 visits to this location will ever produce the same shot as the icebergs come and go and produce varying shapes and sizes in different parts of the lake.

"Mountain Light Dove Lake" (Tasmania) - During a trip to Cradle Mountain I was determined to capture some sweet light over Dove Lake and I had four opportunities to do this.  This image was captured on my third sunrise drive up to the lake this morning was the first time with any clouds in the sky which lit up beautifully!  There was one other photographer there that morning taking photos on large format sheet film.  A really lovely lady by the name of Verena Popp-Hackner, a very famous and outstanding  professional landscape photographer based in Vienna Austria.  After sunrise Verena was kind enough to boil the kettle and share cuppa to warm up and share photographic stories.  It was a very special morning.

"An Ancient Land" (Tasmania) - This image was taken in Cradle Mountain National Park after heavy rains had produced some wonderful water flow along Ronny Creek, which meanders through ancient pandani plants.

It was still raining at this time with evening light producing a beautiful diffused scene.

"Feathertop Dusk" (Victoria) - The last light of dusk lingered behind Mt Feathertop at Mt Hotham.  This image was captured with a telephoto lens to highlight the mountain and bring in the soft pink hues hanging on the horizon.

"Grand Cathedral Mt Buffalo" (Victoria) - A long exposure highlights movement in the evening clouds hovering over The Cathedral in Mt Buffalo National Park. 

"Razorback Ridge Hotham" (Victoria) - This view marks the start of the walk along the Razorback Ridge in Mt Hotham.  An hour later and I was taking in the sunset from the background peak. 

"Hobart Awakening" (Tasmania) - Sunrise light briefly illuminates the clouds surrounding the peak of Mt Wellington looking down to Hobart below. 

Shortly before this image was taken, a light sleet was falling and it was amazing to witness the scene transform in a matter of minutes! 

"Snowy Sunset" (Victoria) - Sunset from the razorback in Mt Hotham, Alpine National Park.

"Moran Falls Sunset" (Queensland) - This is the sensational view overlooking Moran Falls down towards Moran Creek Gorge in Lamington National Park.

The falls are located at the end of a short and beautiful 4.4km return walk through the forest near O'Reillys.

“Tasman Ice” (New Zealand South Island, Mt Cook National Park, Canterbury Region) - The glacial lakes of Mt Cook National Park are a real highlight of any trip to New Zealand.  The icebergs floating on the lake are created from calvings off the main glacier.  A few months before my visit there was a massive calving event at this lake and the remnants were still there with icebergs strewn all over the lake.  This image was taken after the sun had set with a beautiful pink candy glow lingering in the sky - it was a beautiful sight! 

"Grass Trees Sunset" (Queensland) - A spectacular sunset over Main Range National Park from the top of Mt Cordeaux at Cunningham's Gap.

I made a last minute decision to hike the 7.5km round trip up to this point for sunset after seeing that a gap in the clouds was forming on the horizon.  This image was the result. 

"Dead Horse Gap" (New South Wales) - Sunrise light breaking through for a brief moment over Dead Horse Gap. 

"Zero Dawn" (Victoria) - The stark snow gums are a photogenic feature of the Mt Hotham landscape, especially with a blanket of snow covering the area.

"Snow Blanket" (New South Wales) - A heavy snow shower produces a magical dusting of snow, transforming this scene at Dead Horse Gap near Mt Hotham.

"Snow Storm" (Victoria) - This image was captured from the balcony of my Mt Hotham accommodation during a heavy snow storm.   

"Devine Light" (New South Wales) - Amazing light over the Three Sisters. This shot was taken within an hour of arriving in the Blue Mountains. I had been driving all day to reach this destination and the weather had been drizzly and overcast the whole time.  I had no intention of getting out for a shoot - the plan was to simply unload the car, get set up in our accommodation and relax.  That plan changed however as I was heading up the mountain range and a clear patch began forming on the horizon right where the sun was going to set!

"Dolomiti Meadow" (Queensland) - Spring wildflowers in a lush meadow frame the imposing mountain peaks in the Italian Dolomites.

This image was captured in the Funes Valley near St Magdalene church.

“Glacial Ice” (New Zealand South Island, Mt Cook National Park, Canterbury Region) – An amazing view from Tasman Lake in Mt Cook National Park.  It was about - 3.0 degrees C when this image was taken however the adrenaline generated from witnessing the first light of the day hitting the majestic peaks was more than enough to keep me warm!

"Milky Waters Tasman Lake" (New Zealand) - The milky waters here have been created by glacial silt mixing with the waters of Tasman Lake.

A few months before my visit there was a large calving event whereby a huge chunk of background glacier collapsed into the lake.  The icebergs you see here are remnants from that massive block of glacial ice.
